September 26 was chosen as National Statistics Day because it is a very important historical milestone in the development of the National Statistics System. It is hoped that through National Statistics Day, all statistics people will love statistics more and continue to maintain data quality so that quality statistics for a golden Indonesia are realized.
In the series of National Statistics Day, BPS Tabanan Regency carried out several series of activities starting from holding an Inflation Seminar, Employee and Partner Gathering and National Statistics Day Commemoration Roll Call. In the Series of Activities for National Statistics Day (HSN) 2024 at Denpasar Statistics Week, BPS Tabanan Regency held a seminar on September 11, 2024 entitled controlled inflation, maintained purchasing power. The seminar was held in the Sewaka Mahottama room, Denpasar. The seminar was held because of the collaboration with BPS Denpasar City and the Denpasar City Communication, Informatics and Statistics Office. The speakers at the seminar were Mr. I Wayan Putrawan, Senior Statistician Expert of BPS Tabanan Regency and Mr. I Nyoman Hari Sujana, Head of Economic Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Tabanan Regency. This activity was very popular with invitees, especially from the local government because it can provide insight into handling inflation.
Gathering Activity of BPS Tabanan Regency Statistics Employees and Partners on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, which was located at De Jukung Resto & Bar Tanah Lot. This activity was attended by BPS Tabanan Regency statistics employees and partners from various regions in Tabanan Regency. In this activity, various exciting and fun activities were held, starting from fun games, pinning of reliable and skilled statistics partners (MANTRA), and other togetherness activities. This activity successfully increased solidarity, familiarity and togetherness among all participants.
The last series of activities was the National Statistics Day Commemoration Ceremony. This morning, Thursday, September 26, 2024, BPS Tabanan Regency held a morning assembly on the terrace of the BPS Tabanan Office to commemorate National Statistics Day 2024. The uniforms worn at this morning's assembly were blue shirts and khaki pants (Monday uniforms). The morning assembly instructor's message was made by the Acting Head of the Central Statistics Agency, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, which was delivered by the Middle Expert Statistician of BPS Tabanan Regency, Mr. I Wayan Putrawan. In this message, he said that in facing various challenges, BPS must continue to innovate, one of which is by utilizing the availability of new data sources, such as Big Data and administrative data in collecting statistical data, and must also continue to strengthen the methodology for collecting statistical data by utilizing various advances in the fields of Information Technology, Data Science, and Statistics. BPS must appear as the leading sector in national statistical development by optimizing its role as a sectoral statistics instructor to realize a reliable, effective, and efficient National Statistics System.
