May 2018, the number of international aircraft departures from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport reached 3,037 flight units or increased 1.91 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 2,980 units. The number of international flight passengers in the same period (m to m) increased by 4.07 percent, from 536,515 people in April 2018 to 558,373 people in May 2018. In line with airline passengers, the number of baggage and international air freight as well experienced an increase (m to m) of 1.16 percent, from 8.31 million tons to 8.41 million tons.
For domestic air transport, the number of aircraft departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in May 2018 was 3,669 flight units, or down -0.94 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) of 3,704 flight units. The number of passengers recorded reached 433,887 people or fell by -7.42 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 468,663 people. The number of baggage and goods also decreased by -3.98 percent from 4.87 million tons in April 2018 to 4.68 million tons in May 2018 (m to m).
For sea transport, the number of ships departing from several ports in Bali Province in May 2018 was recorded at 2,473 units, an increase of 19.76 percent from the previous month (m to m), which was recorded at 2,065 units. The number of ship passengers in May 2018 was recorded at 276,476 people. This number rose 13.81 percent compared to the state of the previous month (m to m) which reached 242,926 people. While similar conditions are shown for the transport of goods in the same period and transportation mode was recorded to reach 15,525 tons, an increase of 8.64 percent compared to the previous month (m to m), which recorded 14.290 tons.
