September 2018, the number of international airplane departures from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport was recorded at 3,128 flights or decreased by -6.77 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 3,355 units. The number of passengers on international flights in the same period (m to m) decreased by -8.37 percent, from 632,908 people in August 2018 to 579,932 people in September 2018. In line with aircraft passengers, the number of baggage and international air freight items decreased (m to m) by -4.68 percent, from 9.45 million tons to 9.0 million tons.
For domestic air transport, the number of planes departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in September 2018 was 3,730 flight units, down -5.83 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 3,961 flights. The number of passengers was recorded at 464,203 people, down by -8.99 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 510,048 people. The amount of baggage and goods also decreased by –14.40 percent, from 5.46 million tons in August 2018 to 4.68 million tons in September 2018 (m to m).
For sea transportation, the number of ships departing from several ports in Bali Province in September 2018 was 2,243 units, or an increase of 23.38 percent from the previous month (m to m), which was recorded at 1,818 units. The number of ship passengers in September 2018 was 317,882 people. This number is up 21.00 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 262,706 people. While the different conditions shown for goods transportation in the same period were recorded at 8,855 tons, down -59.67 percent compared to the previous month (m to m), the amount of which was recorded at 21,959 tons.
