Abstract

Bali's total economy in the first quarter of 2019 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) was recorded at Rp. 60.36 trillion and based on constant prices (ADHK) recorded at Rp. 39.08 trillion.

                         

Bali's economy in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the first quarter of 2018 (y-on-y) grew 5.94 percent or increased compared to the same period the previous year of 5.58 percent. The highest growth was recorded in the business field category C (manufacturing industry) and category O (government administration, defense and mandatory social security) with the same amount of 9.74 percent. On the expenditure side, LNPRT Consumption and Government Consumption were recorded as the components with the first and second highest growths with growth of 23.09 percent and 20.84 percent, respectively.

                         

On a q-to-q basis or compared to the previous quarter, Bali's economy in the first quarter of 2019 recorded a negative growth of -1.51 percent. In terms of business, the highest growth was achieved by category K (financial services and insurance) by 4.15 percent. Meanwhile in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by consumption of LNPRT with a growth of 12.56 percent.

                         

Bali's economic structure in the first quarter of 2019 was still dominated by category I businesses (providing accommodation and food and beverages) with a contribution of 23.28 percent. While the biggest contribution in the first quarter of 2019 in terms of expenditure component was the Export Component (49.88 percent) followed by household consumption expenditure (48.15 percent). Meanwhile, the contribution of the Import Component as a reducing component was 38.41 percent.
