Abstract

In September 2021, the level of inequality in Balinese spending as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.375. This figure decreased by 0.003 points when compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.378 and increased by 0.006 points compared to conditions in September 2021 which was recorded at 0.369.

Bali's Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2021 was recorded at 0.379. This achievement decreased by -0.008 points compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.387 and increased by 0.001 points. When compared with the conditions in September 2020 which was recorded at 0.378.

Bali's Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2021 was recorded at 0.302. This achievement increased when compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.301 and decreased by 0.002 points when compared to conditions in September 2020 which was recorded at 0.304.

Based on the World Bank's inequality measure, Bali's expenditure distribution in September 2021 for the bottom 40 percent was recorded at 18.04 percent. This means that the expenditure of the Balinese population in September 2021 is in the category of low inequality. If broken down by region, in urban areas it was recorded at 17.60 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality. Likewise for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 21.35 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality.
