The Farmer's Terms of Trade Index (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Bali Province NTP index for August 2022 was recorded at 96.38, an increase of 0.35 percent compared to the conditions in the previous month. The increase in the NTP index was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It), which fell by -0.60 percent, lower than the Index Paid by Farmers (Ib), which fell by -0.94 percent.
Nationally, the NTP index was recorded at 106.31, up 1.97 percent compared to the previous month. In August 2022, the Riau Province NTP Index experienced the highest increase in NTP, amounting to 12.63 percent. In contrast, the Riau Archipelago Province's NTP experienced the deepest decline, by -1.34 percent.
The Bali Province Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in August 2022 was 112.58 or decreased by -1.39 percent compared to the previous month's conditions. The Bali Province Agriculture Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in July 2022 was 96.97 or decreased by -0.74 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
