The Farmer's Terms of Trade Index (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Bali Province NTP index for January 2023 was recorded at 96.17, down as deep as 0.90 percent compared to the conditions in the previous month. The decline in the NTP index was caused by an increase in the price index received by farmers (It) of 0.02 percent, which was smaller than the increase in the index paid by farmers (Ib) of 0.93 percent.
Nationally, the NTP index was recorded at 109.84, up 0.77 percent compared to the previous month. In January 2023, the West Nusa Tenggara Province's NTP index was recorded to have experienced the highest increase in NTP, amounting to 2.27 percent. In contrast, West Kalimantan Province's NTP experienced the deepest decline, by -2.11 percent.
The Bali Province Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in January 2023 was 116.10, an increase of 1.15 percent compared to the previous month's conditions.
The Bali Province Agriculture Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in January 2023 was 97.47 or decreased by -0.35 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
