The Farmer's Terms of Trade Index (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Bali Province NTP index for April 2023 was recorded at 98.76, up as high as 0.32 percent compared to the conditions in the previous month. The increase in the NTP index was caused by an increase in the price index received by farmers (It) by 0.12 percent and a decrease in the index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.20 percent.
Nationally, the NTP index was recorded at 110.58, down 0.24 percent compared to the previous month. In April 2023, the South Sumatra Province's NTP Index was recorded to have experienced the highest increase in NTP, amounting to 1.50 percent. In contrast, Riau Province's NTP experienced the deepest decline, amounting to -2.42 percent.
The Bali Province Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in April 2023 was 116.42, down as deep as 0.40 percent compared to the conditions in the previous month.
The Bali Province Agriculture Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for April 2023 was 100.07, a decrease of 0.11 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
