Abstract

The Bali Farmers Exchange Rate Index (mt t-m) in March 2018 recorded a decline of 0.37 percent, from 103.88 in February 2018, to 103.50. In terms of index received by farmers (It), recorded an increase of 0.30 percent, from 132.28 to 132.68. Meanwhile, in terms of index paid by farmers (Ib), recorded an increase of 0.67 percent, from 127.34 to 128.19.

The decline in NTP in March 2018 was recorded in almost all sub-sectors except Livestock which rose by 1.08 percent. The largest decrease in NTP was recorded in the Food Crops Sub-sector by 1.69 percent, followed by the Subsector of Smallholder Estate Crops by 1.21 percent, Horticulture Subsector 0.36 percent, and Fisheries Sub-sector 0.23 percent.

In March 2018, the province of Bali recorded a rural inflation of 0.84 percent. Meanwhile, nationally recorded rural inflation of 0.12 percent.

From 33 provinces observing rural inflation in March 2018, 26 provinces recorded inflation, with the highest inflation recorded in Bali Province reaching 0.84 percent and the lowest in West Java Province by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, there were 7 provinces experiencing deflation, with the deepest deflation recorded in West Nusa Tenggara reaching 0.55 percent.
