Abstract

Bali's economy in 2018 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (adhb) was recorded at 234.43 trillion rupiahs, while GDP at constant prices (adhk) stood at 154.15 trillion rupiahs. With the projected population of Bali in 2018 of 4.29 million, the GDP per capita will reach 54.62 million rupiah.

Bali's economy in 2018 recorded a growth of 6.35 percent, an increase compared to 2017's growth of 5.57 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was recorded in the category F (construction) business field of 10.44 percent.

Bali's economy in the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to the fourth quarter of 2017 (y-on-y) recorded growth of 7.59 percent, higher than the growth of the same period the previous year which was recorded at 4.01 percent. In terms of expenditure the highest contribution was still contributed by the household expenditure component of 47.15 percent with a recorded growth rate of 6.90 percent.

Bali's economy in the fourth quarter of 2018 recorded a growth of 0.60 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). From the production side, growth was driven by category C (manufacturing industry) business which grew by 2.96 percent; category G business fields (wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair) which grew by 2.12 percent; and category A businesses (agriculture, forestry, and fisheries) which also grew by 2.12 percent. In terms of expenditure, the component of Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) recorded the highest growth reaching 17.84 percent.
