In August 2019, international air transport planes departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport recorded a total of 3,236 flight units. This number was recorded to increase compared to the situation in July 2019 (m to m) which recorded as many as 3,161 units of flight, or increased as high as 2.37 percent. Conditions of departure for the number of passengers on international flights have also increased as high as 6.39 percent (m to m), from 633,368 people in July 2019 to 673,831 people in August 2019. Likewise the number of international air transport baggage and goods also increased if compared to the previous month (m to m) as high as 4.30 percent, from 11.1 million tons to 11.6 million tons.
The departure of domestic air transport planes from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in August 2019 was recorded at 3,693 flight units, an increase of 4.59 percent compared to July 2019 (m to m) of 3,531 flight units. The same condition also occurred in the number of passenger departures in August 2019 which increased as high as 4.55 percent compared to July 2019. Meanwhile, the amount of baggage and goods departing via domestic air transport actually decreased as deep as -1.87 percent when compared to July 2019.
The number of sea transportation departing from a number of ports in Bali Province in August 2019 was recorded at 8,599 ships. When compared to July 2019 (m to m), an increase in the number of departures was as high as 5.47 percent from the previous month which was recorded at 8,153 units. The number of sea transport passengers departing through several ports in Bali Province in August 2019 was recorded at 371,539 people. This number shows a decrease as deep as -5.30 percent compared to the condition of the previous month (m to m) which was recorded at 392,343 people.
