Abstract

The Bali Province NTP Index in May 2020 was recorded to have fallen by -1.33 percent, from 94.81 in April 2020 to 93.54. In terms of the index received by farmers (It), it was recorded to have decreased by -1.78 percent, deeper than the decrease in the index paid by farmers (Ib) which fell as deep as -0.45 percent.



The decline in the NTP index in May 2020 was recorded in almost all subsectors. The deepest decline was recorded in the smallholder plantation sub-sector (-3.06 percent), followed by the horticulture sub-sector (-2.33 percent), the food crop sub-sector (-1.01 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (-0.10 percent). On the other hand, the fisheries sub-sector NTP was the only sector that experienced an increase, recorded as high as 0.15 percent.



The Bali Province Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) Index in May 2020 was recorded at 93.78, down by -1.93 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 95.63.



In terms of the sub-sector, the biggest decline in the NTUP index was recorded in the smallholder plantation sub-sector (-3.79 percent), followed by the horticulture sub-sector (-2.91 percent), the food crops sub-sector (-1.76 percent), and the livestock sub-sector (-0 , 45 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.14 percent).



In May 2020, Bali Province experienced rural deflation of -0.69 percent. This is in line with the national rural inflation record which recorded deflation of -0.07 percent. The deepest deflation was recorded in the Province of North Sulawesi (-1.47 percent) and the lowest in the Province of South Sumatra (-0.001 percent). Meanwhile, the highest inflation was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province (0.98 percent), while the lowest inflation was recorded in West Java Province at 0.07 percent.
