The poor population in Bali in March 2020 was recorded at 3.78 percent, up 0.17 percent compared to the position in September 2019.
The number of poor people in Bali in March 2020 was recorded at around 165.19 thousand people. An increase of around 8.3 thousand people compared to the number of poor people in September 2019 which was recorded at around 156.91 thousand people.
During the period September 2019 - March 2020, the percentage of poor people in urban areas was recorded to have increased, from 3.04 percent in September 2019 to 3.33 percent in March 2020. In contrast, the percentage of poor people in rural areas has decreased from 4.86 percent in September 2019 to 4.78 percent in March 2020.
The poverty line is recorded to have increased by around 4.10 percent, from IDR 412,906.00 per capita per month in September 2019 to IDR 429,834.00 per capita per month in March 2020.
The Poverty Depth Index (P1) in Bali in March 2020 was recorded at 0.524, an increase of 0.02 points compared to September 2019. Meanwhile, the Poverty Severity Index (P2) did not change compared to September 2019 which was recorded at 0.103.
Income inequality in Bali as described by the Gini Ratio index has decreased (improved) by 0.001 points from 0.370 in September 2019 to 0.369 in March 2020.
