Abstract

The Bali Province NTP Index in May 2021 was recorded at 91.93, down 0.20 percent compared to April 2021 which was recorded at 92.12. The index received by farmers (It) fell as deep as 0.65 percent, deeper than the decline in the index paid by farmers (Ib), which fell as deep as 0.45 percent.

The decline in the NTP index in May 2021 was recorded in almost all sub-sectors, except for the smallholder plantation sub-sector, which rose as high as 2.36 percent. The sub-sector that fell the most was the horticulture sub-sector by 2.47 percent, followed by the fisheries sub-sector (-0.76 percent), the food crops sub-sector (-0.52 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (-0.39 percent).

The Bali Province Agricultural Exchange Rate Index (NTUP) in May 2021 fell as deep as 0.97 percent from 93.02 in the previous month to 92.12.

In terms of sub-sectors, the NTUP Index in May 2021 recorded a decline in almost all sub-sectors except for the smallholder plantation sub-sector which recorded an increase of 1.69 percent. The deepest decline in NTUP was recorded in the horticulture sub-sector of 3.31 percent, followed by the livestock sub-sector (-1.25 percent), as well as the food crops sub-sector and fisheries sub-sector which both fell by 1.24 percent.

In May 2021, Bali Province recorded a rural deflation of 0.82 percent. This condition is different from the national record for rural inflation, which recorded inflation of 0.22 percent. The highest inflation was recorded in Southeast Sulawesi Province at 1.15 percent and the lowest was in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 0.003 percent. Meanwhile, the deepest deflation was recorded in North Sulawesi Province at 0.86 percent and the shallowest was recorded in Bengkulu Province at 0.01 percent.
