Abstract

In August 2024, Tabanan Regency experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.68 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.57.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to the increase in the prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.90 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.08 percent; the health group by 2.48 percent; the transportation group by 1.69 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.39 percent; the education group by 2.25 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.67 percent. Meanwhile, four other expenditure groups experienced a decrease in the index, namely: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.82 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 2.29 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.30 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.20 percent.

In August 2024, Tabanan Regency recorded month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.28 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.93 percent.
