Abstract

In October 2024, Tabanan Regency experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.31 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.82.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to the increase in the prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 4.66 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.66 percent; health group by 2.30 percent; transportation group by 0.97 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.70 percent; education group by 2.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.97 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.25 percent. Meanwhile, three other expenditure groups recorded a decrease in the index, namely: housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.46 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.84 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.27 percent.

In October 2024, Tabanan Regency was recorded to have experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.03 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.16 percent.
