Abstract

In May 2017 in Denpasar the inflation was 0.11 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 125.58. The calendar year inflation rate is 2.01 percent. Year-on-year inflation rate (YoY) of 4.47 percent.
Inflation was attributable to an increase in prices as indicated by rising indexes in the three expenditure categories ie finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco at 1.52 percent; Transport, communication and financial services group by 0.56 percent; As well as housing groups; Water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.11 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in index / deflation was foodstuff category of 1.07 percent; Clothing group by 0.36 percent; Education, recreation and sports group by 0.29 percent; And the health group by 0.19 percent.
