Abstract

In August 2017 in Denpasar there was inflation of 0.26 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 126.05. The calendar year inflation rate is 2.40 percent. Year-on-year inflation rate (YoY) of 3.46 percent.

Inflation was attributable to the increase in prices of some goods / services as indicated by the increase in index in the education, recreation and sports group by 1.24 percent; transport, communication and financial services group by 0,43 percent; health group by 0.28 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.22 percent; clothing group by 0.11 percent; foodstuffs by 0.04 percent; as well as housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups by 0.02 percent.

From inflation in August 2017 of 0.26 percent, core components experienced inflation in August 2017 of 0.23 percent with inflation of 0.15 percent, government regulated / administrative inflation of 0.61 percent with inflation 0.12 percent; while the volatile component experienced a deflation of 0.01 percent with a deflation share of 0.01 percent.
