The Province of Bali Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in May 2019 was recorded down by -0.07 percent, from 103.45 in April 2019, to 103.37. In terms of the index received by farmers (It), there was a decline as deep as -0.38 percent while the index paid by farmers (Ib) was recorded down as deep as -0.30 percent.
Judging by the subsector, the decline in the NTP index in May 2019 was recorded in two sub-sectors, namely the smallholder estate crops sub-sector -1.76 percent and the food crops subsector -0.30 percent. Meanwhile, the horticulture, fisheries and livestock subsectors recorded an increase of 0.97 percent, 0.89 percent and 0.33 percent respectively.
In May 2019, the Province of Bali experienced rural deflation of -0.39 percent. This is in a different direction from national conditions that recorded rural inflation of 0.59 percent.
From 33 provinces observing the calculation of the household consumption index of farmers in May 2019, there were 30 provinces experiencing inflation and only 3 provinces recorded deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Gorontalo Province at 1.85 percent, and the lowest was recorded in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 0.35 percent. Meanwhile, the provinces of Bali, Yogyakarta and East Java experienced deflation of -0.39 percent, -0.33 percent and -0.001 percent respectively.
