The Bali Province NTP index in August 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -0.62 percent, from 93.92 in July 2020 to 93.34. The index received by farmers (It) was recorded to have decreased by -0.62 percent, while the index paid by farmers (Ib) was recorded to have decreased by -0.002 percent.
The NTP index in August 2020 was recorded to decline in four sub-sectors. The deepest decline was recorded in the horticulture sub-sector and the people's gardening sub-sector by -2.21 percent respectively, followed by the fisheries sub-sector (-0.62 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (-0.51 percent). In contrast, the NTP index for the food crop subsector was recorded to have increased as high as 0.98 percent.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate Index (NTUP) of Bali Province in August 2020 was recorded at 93.08, down by -0.73 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.77.
Judging from the sub-sector, the NTUP Index in August 2020 was recorded to have decreased in four sub-sectors. The deepest decline was recorded in the horticulture sub-sector (-2.36 percent), followed by the smallholder plantation sub-sector (-2.27 percent), fisheries sub-sector (-0.71 percent), and the livestock sub-sector (-0.67 percent). In contrast, the NTUP index for the food crop subsector was recorded to have increased as high as 0.87 percent.
In August 2020, Bali Province experienced another rural deflation of -0.06 percent. This condition is in line with the national rural inflation record which recorded deflation of -0.28 percent. Of all rural inflation observed provinces, the deepest deflation was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province with a deflation of -1.08 percent. Meanwhile, inflation was only recorded in Aceh Province at 0.06 percent.
