In July 2018, Singaraja recorded inflation of 0.43 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI, 2012 = 100) of 141.73. The inflation rate for the calendar year (January - July 2018) is 1.48 percent and the inflation rate for the year to year (July 2018 to July 2017 or YoY) is 3.76 percent.
Inflation was indicated by the increase in the index in the foodstuff group by 1.14 percent; the transportation, communication and financial services group by 0.66 percent, the clothing group by 0.21 percent and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.14 percent.
Commodities recorded as contributing to or contributing to inflation in July 2018 include: cayenne pepper, broiler chicken meat, gasoline, cucumber, squid, fresh anchovies, wet shrimp, motorbikes, tuna, soy sauce, and uniforms male school.
Of the 82 CPI cities, 68 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Sorong (West Papua) by 1.47 percent and the lowest was recorded in Depok (West Java), Banyuwangi and Surabaya (East Java) respectively by 0.03 percent.
When sorted from the highest inflation, Singaraja was ranked 33rd after Pontianak (West Kalimantan) from 68 cities that experienced inflation.
