Export
In March 2023, the value of exports of goods for the Province of Bali abroad was recorded to have increased by 4.60 percent month to month (m-t-m), from US$ 49,603,473 in February 2023 to US$ 51,884,123 in March 2023. When compared to in March 2022 year on year (y-o-y), the value of Bali's exports in March 2023 was recorded to have fallen 0.001 percent.
Of the top 5 export destinations for Bali in March 2023, the value of exports to Japan recorded the highest increase month to month (62.11 percent). This increase was primarily due to increased exports of fish, crustacean and mollusk products (HS 03).
The cumulative export value in the January-March 2023 period was recorded at US$ 143,437,266, up 1.68 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
Import
In line with exports, the import performance of the Province of Bali in March 2023 also showed an increase. The import value of Bali Province goods from abroad in March 2023 was recorded at US$ 10,459,851, up 26.24 percent compared to February 2023 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US$ 8,285,527. On a year-on-year basis, the import value of the Province of Bali in March 2023 was recorded to have increased by 124.50 percent.
Of the top 5 countries of origin for imports in March 2023, the value of imports from Hong Kong recorded the highest increase month to month (+65.17 percent), which was mainly due to increased imports of precious metals and jewelry/gems (HS 71).
Cumulatively, the value of imports in the January-March 2023 period was recorded at US$ 26,779,796, up 210.35 percent compared to the previous year's period.
