Abstract

In June 2018 in Kota Singaraja recorded inflation of 0.16 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI, 2012 = 100) of 141.13. The inflation rate for calendar year (January - June 2018) is 1.05 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2018 to June 2017 or YoY) is 3.43 percent.

Inflation was indicated by an increase in index in the foodstuff category by 0.34 percent; transportation, communication and financial services group by 0.33 percent and clothing by 0.21 percent.

The recorded commodities contributed to inflation in June 2018, among others: bananas, beans, intercity transport, chicken meat, pork, cayenne pepper, household fuels, eggs, clove cigarettes and beans.

Out of 82 CPI cities, recorded to 82 cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Tarakan (North Kalimantan) at 2.71 percent and the lowest recorded in Pekanbaru (Riau) and Medan (North Sumatra) at 0.01 percent.

If sorted from the highest inflation, then Singaraja ranks 78th after Bekasi (West Java).
